Zamárdi is a famous holiday in Somogy County, Hungary known for beach sales at Lake Balaton and for summer music festivals (for example, Strand Festival, Balaton Sound, etc.).
According to one theory, the village was named before the Mongol invasion Kis Szent Mártir, which later changed to Zamárdi. Before the arrival of the Hungarians at the end of the 9th and 10th centuries, the area was populated with damage. In 1972, a purpose discovered in the village a large Avaric cemetery.
